Ok, so we all already know the stereotypes about what it means to be a FEMINIST, but Jessica Valenti takes it to a whole new level about her views regarding the "F-Word". She explains that most young women are feminists but "too afraid to say it". She then goes on to say that us youngins' don't want to see as ugly, fat, and/or hairy because of what society has stereotyped feminists! The part of the entire article was that Wendy Wright of Concerned Women for America (anti-feminist organization) was quoted saying that pesky feminists were to blame for the increase of women in prison. HAHAHAHA!
But Valenti makes a really good point that if it weren't for people making us feel like absolute shit about ourselves, then people wouldn't buy the skin firming lotion and diet pills. Or if we weren't called stupid then we wouldn't stick up for ourselves against screwy lawyers. Or BEST YET! women going under the knife to get vagina surgery! Hello Nip Tuck.
